How to Use:
Adult Dosage: Take one tablet daily with a meal, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Swallow the tablet with water. For women planning pregnancy, folic acid supplementation is generally recommended to begin at least one month before conception and continue throughout the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, unless a healthcare professional advises a different regimen. Take the tablet consistently each day to maintain an adequate folic acid intake. If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not double the dosage. If already taking a prenatal multivitamin, check its folic acid content before adding Blackmores Folate to avoid unnecessary duplication. Women with certain medical conditions, a previous neural tube defect-affected pregnancy or medications that affect folate metabolism may need an individually prescribed dose. Do not adjust the dosage independently. Close the bottle securely after use and store below 30°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Important: The recommended timing is especially relevant because the neural tube develops very early in pregnancy, often before a woman knows she is pregnant. Beginning supplementation only after pregnancy is confirmed may miss part of this important developmental period.
