The company owns the South African luxury department and grocery store chain, Woolworths, the Australian retailer Country Road, and South Africa's largest pet store chain, Absolute Pets. Woolworths Group

Woolworths is known for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community engagement. The company has made strides in reducing its carbon footprint, minimizing food waste, and supporting local farmers and producers. Woolworths also focuses on reducing food waste through initiatives like the "Odd Bunch" range, offering imperfect produce at a discounted price.
Woolworths

Woolworths' journey began in Sydney, where founder Percy Christmas opened the first store, known as the "Woolworths Stupendous Bargain Basement." This store was characterized by its fixed pricing strategy, where all items were sold at a uniform price point of sixpence. This innovative approach set the stage for Woolworths' commitment to providing value for money—a principle that continues to resonate with customers to this day.
Woolworths

Woolworths' success can be attributed to its ability to adapt to changing consumer preferences and technological advancements. As Australians embraced online shopping in the 21st century, Woolworths launched its online platform, allowing customers to order groceries from the comfort of their homes. The introduction of the "Click & Collect" service further bridged the gap between online convenience and physical stores.
Woolworths

Woolworths' philanthropic efforts, such as the "Woolworths Community Fund," focus on supporting local initiatives, schools, and community organizations. This commitment to community engagement is a key aspect of Woolworths' enduring legacy as a retail giant.
Woolworths

Woolworths represents one of the most recognizable names in retail, with origins tracing back to the 19th century. What began as a pioneering “five-and-dime” store concept in the United States rapidly grew into an international phenomenon, shaping how the world shops. Woolworths' journey includes expansion
