Order information

• Examples of Personal Information collected: we receive and store any information you provide in relation to services provided by Samirahan, including, but not limited to -name, billing address, shipping address, payment information [including any credit card numbers(s), credit card payments, bank transfers, offline payments, remittances, e-wallet transactions or PayPal], email address, and phone number.
• Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. The information is also used to correct our records and deliver your next purchase more easily.
• Source of collection: collected from you, as well as other sources, such as updated delivery and address information from our carriers.
• Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify, Shopify POS, Samirahan Rewards program, Samirahan Reviews program and shipping service provider.

• Examples of Personal Information collected: we receive and store any information you provide in relation to services provided by Samirahan, including, but not limited - name, billing address, shipping address, payment information [including any credit card number(s), credit card payments, bank transfers, offline payments, remittances, e-wallet transactions or PayPal], email address, and phone number.
• Purpose of collection: to provide customer support.
• Source of collection: collected from you.
• Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify, Shopify POS, Samirahan Rewards program and shipping service provider.

Additional / General use of your Personal Information

Your Personal Information and related data may also be used in the following ways:

• To competently deliver the products you have purchased through the Site, we may pass your personal information on to a third-party (e.g., our logistics partner) in order to make delivery of the product to you.
• Update you on the delivery of the product(s).

Using Personal Information

We use your personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfillment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.

Lawful basis

This Privacy Policy is formulated in line with the “ডিজিটাল কমার্স পরিচালনা নির্দেশিকা ২০২১” set out by the Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh.

Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records for as long as we are either required to by law or as is relevant for the purposes for which it was collected, unless you ask us to erase this information at an earlier date and such erasure is not contrary to any legal provision or regulation in effect.

Once your request for erasure of Personal Information is received, we follow an internal deletion process to make sure that your data is safely removed in the next fifteen (15) working days, provided your request is in compliance with applicable laws. You will be contacted for verification and your account will be deleted after necessary protocols are conformed to.

Automatic decision-making

We DO NOT engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

• Temporary denylist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This denylist persists for a small number of hours.
• Temporary denylist of credit cards associated with denylisted IP addresses. This denylist persists for a small number of days.
